DFD Associates is involved in the planning, writing, and editing of training materials. Our projects have included print, web, and video materials.

For example:

  • For Lutheran Services in America, and in collaboration with Doug Johnson (LSA's director of communication), Duane Dale co-authored two guidebooks:
    • Preparing for Leadership Transtions (2004)
    • The Executive Search Process (2004)
  • For the Lutheran Adoption Network, Dale edited a training curriculum for pre-adoptive parents, "Promises and Possibilities: Preparing for International Adoption" (spring 2006).
  • For the national Cooperative Extension system, Dale planned and co-hosted a three-part professional development series on Public Issues Education, delivered by satellite. As part of this series, Dale co-produced a video case-study of community problem-solving regarding an endangered species case.
  • Before founding DFD Associates, Dale developed several training booklets — including three for the Citizen Involvement Training Project:
    • Planning, for a Change
    • How to Make Citizen Involvement Work
    • Beyond Experts: A Guide for Citizen Group Training, with David Magnani and Robin Miller.
